Game #6 @ Springfield 10/11/08

This game will be played at Springfield High School under the lights! Game time for Varsity is 6:30pm, JVs play afterwards (approximately 8:15pm). Players should arrive no later than 5:45pm.

Springfield HS is a straight shot down Rt.91. Entrance is off Rt.91, not off of Sanitarium Rd.

TYF A Division's "Great" Whirlyball Adventure

We will be heading to Whirlyball this Saturday, October 4th. We have games scheduled from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. We need to be there by 1:45pm for a pre-game training. Game #4 vs Hudson @ KSU - Photos

Well, not the final scores that we had hoped for in either game. However, we all had fun and loved the opportunity to play at Dix Stadium under the lights!

Our big game under the lights at KSU's Dix Stadium! Game time is 7:00pm. Players should report to the front gate by 6:00pm. There is no admission fee for this game.

A Division Varsity fell to Ellet by a final score of 18-0. Th JVs did a little better but still lost by a score of 8-7.

Game #3 vs Ellet: Saturday 9/13/08

A Division returns to the road for this game against the Ellet Raiders. While a delay is expected, players should arrive by 2:30pm for the scheduled 3:15pm start time for the Varsity game.

Game #2 vs Green: Saturday 9/6/08

Not a good day all around for A Division. The Varsity squad lost 34-20. The JV team did not fare much better and also lost by a final score of 20-6.

We hope to regroup in time for Saturday's road game at Ellet.

Players should meet at the Overdale practice fields at 2:30pm for stretching, warm-up and pre-game. The Varsity game is scheduled for 3:15pm with the JV game to follow. Hopefully, we'll be close to being on time!

Help is needed with videotaping. Please see John Marfy. Equipment and training will be provided.

TYF Night at Friday's THS Game

Players should meet to the left of the north box office of Rossiaky Stadium at 6:30pm so they can be introduced on the field prior to the game against Firestone. Please wear your custom (blue) game jerseys.

Game #1 @ Manchester: Sat. 8/30

A Division had a great opening week at Manchester. The Varsity team came away with a 32-12 win. The JV team also had a solid performance with a 27-6 win.

New Practice Times

Due to the beginning of school as well as shorter fall days, A Team practice will switch to 5:30pm beginning the week of September 1st.

TYF A Team Tailgate Party

We will be having our tailgate party in the parking lot of Rossiaky Stadium on Friday, August 29th beginning at 5:30pm. Following the festivities, we will head in to the stadium to watch our mighty Blue Devils take on Ellet.

September 20th Game vs Hudson @ Kent State

A Division will play Hudson on Saturday September 20th at 7:00pm at Kent State University's Dix Stadium.

Players should arrive for warm-ups at 6:00pm.

A Team will play at Manchester with the first game beginning at 3:15pm, and the JV game at 5:00pm. Players should arrive at Manchester by 2:30pm

Whirlyball!

We have scheduled an afternoon of Whirlyball for Saturday, October 4th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. This is A Team's bye week, so no game is scheduled.

As you can see, due to circumstances beyond TYF's control, our beloved A Team will be on the road for all but one game this season. What can we, the fans, do to give the players and cheerleaders that "at home" feeling?

Please note that the BYF does not allow the use of screw-in cleats. Only rubber, molded cleats are allowed to be worn by players. If a referee or opposing coach discovers one of our players wearing the wrong type of cleat, they may be asked to leave the field of play.

Welcome!

Welcome to a new season of TYF football! In case you're not aware, Tallmadge Youth Football left the Suburban Youth Football League and joined the Buckeye Youth Football League this year. There are some changes involved, mostly that there are no weight restrictions in this league. As such, there are new rules in place which will guarantee everyone more playing time! We will also have BOTH a Varsity and JV team, with games scheduled for Saturdays at 3:15pm and 5:00pm. Also, we'll be traveling to new and exciting locations.
