Game #1 @ Manchester: Sat. 8/30

A Division had a great opening week at Manchester. The Varsity team came away with a 32-12 win. The JV team also had a solid performance with a 27-6 win.

Today A Division received their jerseys. Lots of happy faces!

New Practice Times

Due to the beginning of school as well as shorter fall days, A Team practice will switch to 5:30pm beginning the week of September 1st.

TYF A Team Tailgate Party

We will be having our tailgate party in the parking lot of Rossiaky Stadium on Friday, August 29th beginning at 5:30pm. Following the festivities, we will head in to the stadium to watch our mighty Blue Devils take on Ellet.

September 20th Game vs Hudson @ Kent State

A Division will play Hudson on Saturday September 20th at 7:00pm at Kent State University's Dix Stadium.

Players should arrive for warm-ups at 6:00pm.

A Team will play at Manchester with the first game beginning at 3:15pm, and the JV game at 5:00pm. Players should arrive at Manchester by 2:30pm

Whirlyball!

We have scheduled an afternoon of Whirlyball for Saturday, October 4th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. This is A Team's bye week, so no game is scheduled.

Please call John Marfy by Friday, August 22nd at noon to reserve your spot. The cost per kid will be in the range of $15 - $20.

Show Your A Team Spirit!

As you can see, due to circumstances beyond TYF's control, our beloved A Team will be on the road for all but one game this season. What can we, the fans, do to give the players and cheerleaders that "at home" feeling?

The answer: MAKE SOME NOISE!!!

Cheer loudly for the team during games with the help of Tallmadge Blue Devil Spirit Shack noise makers! Team Mom Jill Beaumont, a Spirit Shack Board Member (who knew?), will have all types of Blue Devil noise makers for sale, including clapping hands, horns and more! See Jill to get your spirit gear ASAP!!

Scrimmage @ Hudson: Sat 8/23

A Division will scrimmage at Hudson at 1:00pm. Players should arrive at the field by 12:00pm for warm ups and weigh-ins.

Scrimmage vs Ellet: Sat 8/16 Photos

Please Note!!

Please note that the BYF does not allow the use of screw-in cleats. Only rubber, molded cleats are allowed to be worn by players. If a referee or opposing coach discovers one of our players wearing the wrong type of cleat, they may be asked to leave the field of play.

Scrimmage vs Ellet: Sat 8/16

TYF A Division will scrimmage vs Ellet at the Ellet Youth Field on Saturday, August 16th at 10am. Players should plan on arriving at least 45 minutes prior to game time for warm up.

Jerseys For Browns Camp & Team Photos

Players should wear their WHITE game jerseys to both the Browns' field trip and picture day on Sunday. Everyone should have an order form. A separate photo will be taken by John Marfy in front of the blue wall of the TYF locker room for the site. Once finished, it should look like the one below (depending on whether or not my nephew has time to do them this year!):

Browns Training Camp Field Trip

The field trip to the Browns' Traning Camp is this Saturday, August 9th from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Please plan on leaving Overdale Field at 1:15pm so we can arrive in Berea by 2:30pm. A tip: bring your own water and snacks. Drivers are still needed!
